Hello and welcome back all you beautiful people!

I hope you are having a good day today. If you’re not, I’m here to help. Because it’s time for the third and final installment of the This or That tag. If you’ve missed the first two parts then click here and here to check them out before you read the conclusion. It’s okay if you don’t (these aren’t connected in any way and can be stand-alone posts) but I sure hope you do. They’re fun as heck.

Let’s kick this finale off!

———-

Q1. Texting or calling?

A: Texting is what we are all more comfortable with. I think I am too. Though, it can lead to misunderstandings and miscommunication. If you want a problem-free conversation with full clarity, phone-call is the way to go. Plus, nothing beats hearing that other person’s voice despite the fact that they are nowhere near you. Don’t you just love technology?

Q2. Join the Avenges or the Justice League?

A: Avengers, of course. LOL. LOL. Because, Avengers.

Q3. Know everything about one thing or one thing about everything?

A: Everybody calls me an encyclopedia already, because I know one thing about everything. Well, not everything, but most things. Trivia, random facts, unlikely things you least expect. So yeah, that’s little old eclectic me.

Q4. Know when you will die or how will you die?

A: I’d rather know when I will die. If you told me how I was gonna die, I’d spend every waking minute in constant fear and avoid doing things that I perceive could ostensibly lead to the end my life. If I just know the day, it’s way better. I can plan for it, worry less, and just live each day to the fullest.

Q5. Live in a dystopia or live in an apocalypse?

A: Apocalypse, because it’s more about survival and self-preservation, which is a natural instinct in us. Living in a dystopia is all about living in suppression, rebellion, trying to overthrow the government in power, plotting and politics and conspiracy, all the hard work. Let someone else do all that.

Q6. Live in a peaceful dictatorship or a tumultuous democracy?

A: Once again, a dictatorship I think will be too oppressive, no matter how peaceful. If someone else’s back-bending values and rules are imposed on you against your will with no recourse or right to object, it’s a crippling life. A democracy will at least hear your voice, take your input, never mind that it is tumultuous.

Q7. Live in the universe of Game of Thrones or The Walking Dead?

A: I feel like you could die at any moment in either of the universes, since no character is ever truly safe. Still, I’d choose The Walking Dead. Because, zombies.

Q8. Live on Earth all alone or live on Mars with your crush?

A: I assume humans will be able to survive on the red planet in that scenario. As long as there are suitable and conducive living conditions/accommodations on Mars. The question would be pretty useless if there weren’t.

Q9. Lose all your old memories or never be able to make new ones?

A: If I chose the former it would be ungrateful. It would be the greatest disrespect to the life I’ve experienced so far. I realize that may not be so true for others who wouldn’t hesitate to forget their past in the snap of their fingers. Personally, I wouldn’t mind not being able to make new memories. As long as I have my old ones, I can say I’ll be quite happy.

Q10. Make lots of money or make a huge impact on the world?

A: Make. Huge. Impact.

Q11. Monopoly or chess?

A: Chess. Not that I’m great at mind games or predicting my opponent’s moves, but it’s just a quicker game. No fights break out if you lose. No name-calling or cursing. No death threats. Hence more fun.

Q12. Never drink alcohol again or never cuss again?

A: Since I don’t drink, and I cuss whenever I can, this is my favourite question.

Q13. Night or Day?

A: Even though I’m a super early riser, I’m not exactly a morning person. Work takes up most of the day-time too, so I would pick night since it is the more liberating time of day.

Q14. Play Pac-Man or Flappy Bird?

A: Since I am not a masochist, Pac-Man.

Q15. Rent or Buy?

A: I don’t know about you, but I like to own things. Take books for example. I love reading, but I don’t really like borrowing from libraries and having partial/temporary ownership of them. It just doesn’t feel complete or real to me. I don’t know. I buy things whenever I can instead of renting them.

Q16. Save the life of 1 human being or the life of 50 dogs?

A: I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again: Human life will always outweigh the life of an animal. I don’t think 50 animals, as is the case here, changes much. Unless that human in question is Hitler. Then it’s so long sucker!

Q17. Save Humanity or save the Earth?

A: If you save humanity, there will be no Earth left for us to live on. If you save Earth, no humans left to inhabit it. No sense here. Let’s move on.

Q18. See the future or change the past?

A: See the future, because when events become predictable, it’s the safer bet. There’s a lot of good you can do if you know what’s coming. Changing events of the past can cause regrets, do untold, unpredictable damage, the consequences disastrous.

Q19. Sia or Adele?

A: Sia for pop songs. Adele if you’re in the mood to cry. Okay, I can hear you guys complain again. Amaan, stop deflecting! Dammit. Fine. Sia wins for me.

Q20. Speed or precision?

A: What good is speed if you botch up the job? You’re worse off than when you started. Take your time to be meticulous, thorough, and precise. It’s most likely not a life or death situation you’re facing. In the unlikely case that you are, then both will stand you in good stead.

Q21. Spend time to save money or spend money to save time?

A: Spend yo time to save yo money, is what I always say. Okay, no I don’t. But it’s the wiser choice. Notwithstanding that convenience wins out some of the time.

Q22. End all crime or end all pollution?

A: First, let’s pass a bill that criminalizes polluting the environment in any form. Then, let’s end all crime.

Q23. Surround yourself with good people or smart people?

A: The question seems to suggest that smart people will be bad, but it may not be so. If they really call themselves smart, they will be mature and intelligent enough to know that being bad is not the right/reasonable/rational/logical thing to do. They will be better than that by virtue of their… well, sheer virtue.

Q24. Throw away your wallet with its contents and never get them back or release your entire search history to the public?

A: I think I speak for everybody when I say our search histories are way too dear to us. Sometimes, if not all the time, we will guard them with our life. Everything in the wallet is replaceable.

Q25. Zombie outbreak or alien invasion?

A: So here’s the deal with this: you have to pick your enemy wisely. We know zombies, more or less. They are predictable, we know how many there can be (capped at the 7 billion mark), we know what to expect from them, they’re slow and stupid and presumably not self-aware, easily silenced with a stake through the head. Aliens on the other hand are more unknowable. We don’t know how many of them there are, which planet they’re invading from, what weapons/technology they have at their disposal, whether they possess mind-control capabilities or other dangerous super powers. Life expectation in a fight against them drops considerably. Zombie outbreak is the clear winner.

So there you have it, folks! Another end to yet another tag! I’m sorry to say there won’t be another This or That Tag in the future, because it seems like I have exhausted most questions and it’s time to move on to bigger things. I also think you guys don’t want to see the same old stuff repeated week after week. Let’s retire this tag and relegate it to the graveyard of awesome-but-overdone ideas. Rest in peace, you cool tag you.

So, what are your answers? What are your choices? Remember, you can answer these questions with me in the comments below. You’re always welcome to drop a line, give your input, share your expertise. Let your voice be heard! This isn’t a dictatorship. It’s a tumultuous democracy.

Until next week! This is me, singing out!
