Hello everyone!

Yes, it’s been one year since my blog came online! Happy Birthday to me! My blog is officially one year old!

Where are my presents?

Lol. Just kidding.

So, yes, it was exactly one year ago that I launched my blog. It was one year ago that I had no clue what I was doing on WordPress and how to chart out the blog plan and where the blog would go and take me. Well, it’s been 365 days and it’s brought me here. I have found a little niche for myself on the blogosphere among all the other little niches you guys have been able to carve out for your blogs and lives.

Happy to be here. Happy to be a part of this.

Happy to have met you guys.

And unfortunately, the time has come for me to say goodbye.

Now, before you guys lose it and hurl a thousand questions at me, let me explain myself.

Lately, I have been struggling with a few things, namely my new job, personal commitments, both my blogs, and overall balancing these things. So I feel like I need some time to take a break from WordPress. And that’s the most important thing: it’s a break! Not an end, not a goodbye. Just an au revoir, a suspension, a temporary break, a see-you-later.

In other words, a hiatus.

So, this will officially be the last post I upload on WordPress for the next few weeks and foreseeable future. I wish I could tell you how long that will be. Two weeks, four weeks, six weeks. Two months. I don’t know. I wish I knew.

I have been posting every Thursday for the past one year, unfailingly. That’s been 53 posts in the past 365 days. I never thought I would need to take a break from it, but I feel like I need to slow down on things a bit and I need to sort things out before I can fully get behind the blog again and really write and focus like I used to.

However, you will hear from me again. Soon. And of course, this year itself. I can tell you that. I can promise you that. There’s just a couple of things I need to work out before I return. I am sure every one of you can understand this, because I’m sure you, as writers, have been through something like this or thought about a similar decision like this before. Although, I do feel like I need to apologize.

So I’m sorry if I’m being a disappointment to any of you. But I promise to make it up to you the moment I return.

I promise.

So, I guess this is it. This is the temporary end of a beautiful journey.
